SonoSpec Privacy Policy
- All audio is processed on your device — never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- No data is collected. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs.
- No account is required — the app has no sign-in and no network access.
Data we collect
None. SonoSpec does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, or audio. The Android app does not request network permission, and the iOS app contains no networking code — the app is technically incapable of sending data anywhere.
Microphone audio
SonoSpec requests microphone access solely to analyze the live signal and draw its frequency spectrum. Audio samples are processed in memory in real time and immediately discarded. Nothing is written to disk. The microphone is released whenever the app leaves the foreground.

Settings stored on your device
Your display preferences (view mode, weighting, FFT size, dB floor, frequency range) are saved locally on your device so the app opens the way you left it. They never leave your device.
Third-party services
SonoSpec uses no third-party services of any kind.
Children's privacy
SonoSpec does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13, and is suitable for all ages.
Purchases
SonoSpec is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes are expected to be rare.
